Guideline for Facilitating a Discussion

Here are elements of facilitation that will help provide a structure:

• Title (Name the text)


• Citation (Cite the text in correct format)


• Key-words (provide an overview of terms to remember)


• Key-phrases (provide overview of useful phrases)


• Key-names (important theorists, figures, ...)


• Key-ideas (overview main concepts covered)


• How does this article contribute to gender studies? What is it arguing for? against?


• Questions & Quotes (provide 2 questions and 2 quotes)

No longer than 2 pages worth of information is needed. You can duplex and bring a copy for each class member (27) OR post it to your blog and have everyone 'swarm' there prior to your presentation (at least 2 days ahead!).
